Hexed is a screen oriented tool that allows changes to be made
to a binary file. The screen displays 256 bytes at a time in both
ASCII and HEX formats. Changes can be made by moving to the desired
location and typing over the existing values.
We hope that the use of hexed is mostly self-explanatory.
Hexed can search for either ASCII or HEX strings. All of the available
function keys are displayed on the bottom of the screen.
A change can be undone by moving to the changed location and pressing
the undo key. It is also possible to exit without saving the changes
by pressing F10 and answering No, so feel free to experiment.
Hexed was written by Martin Nohr and Tom Serface of Genesis Data Systems
